With his playing days behind him, Mark keeps busy as a TV color analyst
for the Arizona Diamondbacks franchise. He's made no secret that he
would one day like to manage in the big leagues. But until that opportunity
presents itself, he's happy to be at the ballpark working Diamondbacks
broadcasts.
Mark is the proud father of two little sluggers, Jackson Gene Grace
(2000) and Preston Torre Grace (2003). Although now divorced from
their mother (Tanya Avila to whom he was married from 2002 until 2006),
the boys remain his pride and joy. Mark is a two time divorcee, having
also been married in the early 1990's.
"He's a good dad," said mom Sharon Grace after the birth
of his first son Jackson in 2000. "And that's a very surprising
thing to me. I never thought he would be goofy over this baby, but
he loves this little boy. He walks into his room and just lights up."
Mark resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona, a community of 13,600 located
between Phoenix and Scottsdale. His neighbors have included Curt Schilling
and Randy Johnson.
Mark has been married twice. He was divorced from his first wife,
Michelle, in the early 1990s.
